Singalong
Please note:
This page will be updated when it is possible for us to meet together again.
For those who enjoy singing the Singalong group meets regularly, in the Small Hall Buccleuch Street, between 2pm and 3.45pm, usually on the first and third Fridays of each month (Sept - May) and once a month over the summer (June - Aug).
This is an informal gathering of men and women, who simply like to sing, regardless of ability. There are no auditions to join.
On average there are about 24 people meeting twice a month to sing. The first part of the afternoon is devoted to singing hymns, old and new. Then follows a medley of secular songs - Scottish, from the shows, popular songs, songs from years gone by. After coffee / tea and biscuits there is a reading, a prayer and two final favourite hymns. Music is provided by a member of the congregation by means of a CD recorded specially for the group and membership brings people together to praise God through song.
